John P. Sawitzki, CPA

~

John specializes in tax planning for closely held businesses and individuals as well as providing accounting and attest services for closely held companies. He has extensive experience in the construction and retail automotive industries.

John is a graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. John became a partner at WEST & Company CPAs PC in 2001 bringing with him over 25 years of experience.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Tax Practice Section.

John's past and present affiliations include: Treasurer for both the Amsterdam Rotary Club and the Foundation of St. Mary's Hospital of Amsterdam.

John is also the Little League Baseball assistant coach in Amsterdam NY where he lives with his wife Kelly and sons John Jr. and Matthew.

Amy M. Pedrick, CPA

Amy specializes in governments and not-for-profits, with extensive knowledge in the audits of not-for-profits, school districts, colleges and universities, financial institutions, as well as medium sized businesses.

Amy is a graduate of Union College where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Managerial Economics and a Masters in Business Administration in Accounting. She joined the firm in March 2005 and became a partner in 2011 bringing with her 13 years of experience in accounting. Among those experiences was her time spent at an international "big four" accounting firm for three years.

Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the New York State Society of CPA's Public Schools Committee. Amy is also a chair of the Accounting and Auditing Committee.

Amy's past and present affiliations include: Treasurer of First Choice Financial Credit Union, board member of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Treasurer of Nathan Littauer Foundation.

Jill M. Thaisz, CPA

Jill specializes in the fields of non-profit accounting and auditing as well as governmental auditing.

She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008 in Ohio and then received her New York State certification in 2010. Jill joined WEST & Company CPAs PC in 2009 after completing her work as an Auditor at Ernst & Young, Cleveland, Ohio. Jill holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Masters of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.

Jill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jill's present affiliations include: Vice Chair of the Gloversville Library Foundation, Treasurer of the Friends of the Gloversville Library, Treasurer of the Fulton County YMCA.

Trisha L.

Rogers-Byrns, CPA

Trisha is specialized in audits of not-for-profit corporations and medium-sized businesses. She does consulting work with many not-for-profit organizations regarding internal controls and accounting procedures. Trisha also works closely with not-for-profit organizations and financial institutions helping them prepare their non-profit tax fillings.

Trisha is a graduate of The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She became at partner at WEST & Company CPAs PC in 2001 brings with her over 29 years of experience in accounting. In addition to her role as partner at the firm Trisha also leads the HR department.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a Member of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Trisha's past and present affiliations include: Treasurer and Board Member of the Gloversville Housing & Neighborhood Improvement Corporation, Inc.., Chairwoman, Secretary, and advisory board member of the Gloversville Salvation Army, Treasurer of Benevolences and Treasurer of Operations for North Main Street United Methodist Church.

Trisha resides in Mayfield NY with her husband Todd and two children.

Michael W. Rossi, CPA

Michael specializes in the auditing of municipalities, school districts, BOCES, nonprofit organizations and commercial businesses.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY at New Paltz, and a Master of Business Administration from Sage Colleges.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Michael's present affiliations include: Treasurer of the Board of the Amsterdam Industrial Development Agency, board member of First Choice Financial Federal Credit Union and member of the Montgomery County Republican Committee.
